What to Expect from Eye Revision Surgery in South Korea

My friend recently underwent eye revision surgery at Hani Plastic Surgery in Seoul with Dr. Jeong-hun Choi, and the experience gave me a completely different perspective on revision procedures.

Unlike a first-time eyelid surgery, revision surgery appeared to require much more detailed planning and evaluation. During the consultation, Dr. Jeong-hun Choi carefully reviewed her previous surgical history, listened to her concerns, and thoroughly explained what improvements could realistically be achieved. What impressed her most was the honest approach—there was a strong focus on achieving natural-looking results rather than making unrealistic promises.

Her primary concern was asymmetry and an unnatural appearance that had continued to affect her confidence after a previous procedure performed elsewhere. Dr. Choi explained that revision cases are often more complex due to scar tissue and changes from the original surgery, which made the personalized treatment plan especially important.

The recovery process required patience, but she felt supported throughout the journey. The staff at Hani Plastic Surgery regularly checked on her progress, and she appreciated having clear guidance during the healing period. As the swelling gradually subsided, the improvements became more noticeable. Her eyes looked more balanced, natural, and harmonious with the rest of her facial features.

From what I’ve observed, eye revision surgery is not something to rush into. Finding a surgeon with extensive experience in corrective procedures seems incredibly important, and Dr. Jeong-hun Choi’s attention to detail played a major role in her positive experience.

Has anyone else here undergone eye revision surgery in South Korea? I’m curious to hear how other clinics handle revision consultations, surgical planning, and long-term follow-up care.
