I’m trying to better understand the recovery experience for common cosmetic surgeries in Korea. How much swelling and downtime should patients expect after procedures like rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, or liposuction, and how gradual is the healing process.
I had liposuction done last year, and the first week was honestly the most uncomfortable because of swelling and tightness. Compression garments and aftercare helped a lot though, and the body contour became noticeably smoother over the following months.
I was honestly nervous but excited before my surgery. The first week of rhinoplasty recovery was definitely the toughest because of swelling and congestion, but by around a month, things looked and felt much better. Double eyelid surgery healed faster than I expected, while liposuction recovery took a few extra weeks with compression garments and gradual swelling reduction. Overall, I felt the clinic focused a lot on natural-looking results and supportive aftercare throughout the healing process.
My cousin underwent rhinoplasty and said patience was probably the hardest part of recovery. The initial swelling improved relatively quickly, but small changes continued happening for months before the nose looked fully refined and natural.
Liposuction recovery felt more gradual than I expected because swelling fluctuated a lot during the first few weeks. The final contour became more visible slowly as healing progressed, especially with proper aftercare and compression.
