A male patient presented with long-standing nocturia, waking multiple times nightly, along with a progressively weakening urinary stream. The condition had led to sleep disruption, fatigue, and reduced daily performance.
Evaluation confirmed benign prostatic hyperplasia with urethral narrowing. Considering the patient’s preference for a minimally invasive option with faster recovery, a UroLift procedure was performed.
The technique involved cystoscopic placement of small permanent implants that repositioned enlarged prostate tissue away from the urethra, improving urinary channel patency.
Post-procedure, the patient experienced a reduction in nocturnal urination episodes and improved urine flow consistency. Mild post-procedural discomfort and temporary burning sensation during urination were noted but resolved without complication.
