A few people have asked how my sister’s Botox treatment turned out, so I thought I’d share her experience since I went with her to the appointment.
She had Botox with Dr. Yong Hwa Choi at Soon Plus Plastic Surgery. Her goal wasn’t to freeze her face or look completely different. She just wanted to soften the lines on her forehead that had become more noticeable over the past few years.
Right After the Treatment
The appointment was surprisingly quick. She said the injections felt like tiny pinches and were over before she knew it. There were a couple of small red marks afterward, but they faded within an hour. She went back to her normal day without any problems.
The First Few Days
For the first two or three days, she kept checking the mirror expecting to see an instant difference, but nothing really changed. She also had a mild headache the evening after the treatment, which went away by the next day without needing much rest.
When the Results Started Showing
Around the fourth or fifth day, we both noticed that her forehead looked smoother whenever she raised her eyebrows. The change was subtle, which is exactly what she wanted. Friends commented that she looked well-rested, but no one guessed she’d had Botox.
Looking Back
It’s been a few months now, and she’d do it again. What she liked most was that she still looked like herself—just a little fresher. If you’re expecting dramatic overnight results, Botox probably isn’t like that. In her case, it was a gradual change that became more noticeable over the first week.
Watching her go through it made me realize that the best cosmetic treatments are often the ones that people don’t immediately notice. They just make you look a bit more refreshed without changing who you are.
