A friend of mine recently had Ultherapy at Soon Plus Plastic Surgery with Dr. Jong-Hyun Park, and since a few people have asked about it, I thought I’d share what her experience was like.
She had been thinking about doing something for the slight sagging around her cheeks and jawline, but she wasn’t ready for surgery. She wanted something that looked natural and didn’t require taking weeks off work, so she started looking into Ultherapy.
She said the consultation was reassuring because there wasn’t any pressure to book the treatment. Dr. Jong-Hyun Park explained what Ultherapy could realistically improve and made it clear that the results would appear gradually rather than immediately. That honesty made her feel more comfortable.
The treatment itself was quicker than she expected. She mentioned feeling small bursts of heat and a bit of discomfort in certain areas, but it wasn’t unbearable. After the session, she was able to go about the rest of her day without needing to hide at home.
For the first couple of weeks, there wasn’t a dramatic difference. She actually wondered if anything had changed. Then, little by little, she started noticing that her skin felt firmer, especially around her jawline.
I saw her about three months later, and the change was noticeable—but in a very natural way. Her face looked a bit more lifted and refreshed, but it didn’t look like she’d had a cosmetic procedure. If she hadn’t told me about the treatment, I probably would’ve just thought she looked well-rested.
When I asked if she’d do it again, she said yes, but she also mentioned that patience is important because the results aren’t instant. If you’re expecting an overnight transformation, this probably isn’t the right treatment. But if you’re looking for gradual, subtle improvement without surgery, she felt it was worth it.
This is just one person’s experience, but I hope it helps anyone who’s researching Ultherapy and wondering what the treatment and recovery are actually like.
