My friend recently had breast surgery at BION Plastic Surgery in Seoul, and from what I saw her overall experience was pretty positive.
One thing that stood out was how much attention was given to consultation and planning before the procedure. She spent quite a bit of time discussing what kind of result she wanted with Dr Hwang Gwi hwan and what would realistically suit her body rather than simply choosing a result from a photo. She was mainly looking for a natural change and did not want anything that would look obviously done.
The recovery period was probably the most challenging part for her. She had some discomfort and needed time to get used to the changes, especially during the first few weeks. From what she told me, the hardest part was being patient because the result did not look completely settled immediately. She had to give her body time to heal before she could properly judge the outcome.
Another thing she appreciated was that the process felt organized from the consultation through the follow up. Since she was traveling to Seoul for the procedure, she also had to think about practical things like accommodation, communication, recovery time, and how long she should stay before traveling home. Those things ended up being just as important to her as choosing the procedure itself.
From what I have seen, breast surgery results can vary quite a lot depending on individual body shape, anatomy, healing, and the patients expectations. My friend was happiest when she stopped comparing her result with photos online and focused on whether the result suited her own body. She feels that discussing realistic expectations with Dr Hwang Gwi hwan was an important part of that.
She is now much more comfortable with the result and feels that the change looks natural rather than excessive. As her friend, the biggest difference I noticed was not that she looked like a completely different person, but that she seemed more confident and comfortable with her appearance.
Has anyone else here had breast surgery in South Korea. I would be interested to hear how other people found the consultation process, recovery period, and follow up care.
