Sharing my brother’s experience in case it helps someone here. He recently underwent incisional ptosis correction along with epicanthoplasty at Gangnam Seoyon Plastic Surgery in Seoul and overall it was a smooth and positive journey.
He had been dealing with droopy eyelids for years, which made his eyes look sleepy and dull even when he wasn’t tired. He also felt his inner eye corners were slightly closed, so his eyes looked smaller than they actually were.
After comparing a few clinics, he chose Seoyon Plastic Surgery because the consultation felt honest and focused on natural results rather than dramatic changes.
Consultation
He said the consultation was very detailed. The doctor checked his eyelid muscle strength and explained clearly why ptosis was causing his tired eye look. The recommendation was to correct the eyelid lifting function and combine it with a mild epicanthoplasty to improve inner eye balance.
What he liked most was that there was no pushy attitude just clear explanation of what would realistically improve his appearance.
Surgery Day
On surgery day, the process was very organized. The staff guided him step by step, which made him feel less nervous. The procedure itself went fine, and he was discharged the same day after observation.
Recovery
The first 3–5 days were the most uncomfortable due to swelling and tightness around the eyes, especially near the inner corners.
After about one week, stitches were removed and swelling started going down.
By 2–3 weeks:
- Eyes looked more open
- The heavy eyelid look was gone
- Facial expression looked more awake
- Swelling was still slightly present but improving
He followed all aftercare instructions strictly, which helped the healing process.
Results
After about 1–2 months, the final result looked natural and balanced. His eyes looked brighter and more symmetrical, but still very himself just refreshed.
