Men who've had non-surgical lifting or skin treatments — what was your actual experience?

A lot of aesthetic content online is written with women as the default audience.

That can make it surprisingly difficult for men to find straightforward, first-person accounts of what these treatments are actually like—from deciding to do it, to walking into the clinic, to seeing the result afterward.

So we’d like to hear from the men in this community.

If you’ve had non-surgical lifting, skin boosters, laser treatment, injectables, or another aesthetic treatment, we’d genuinely like to hear what the experience was like for you.

There’s no particular story we’re looking for.

We’re curious about things like:

  • What made you decide to do it?
  • Did you feel awkward or completely comfortable going into the clinic?
  • What was the consultation actually like?
  • Did the doctor understand the result you were looking for?
  • Was the recovery easier or harder than you expected?
  • Did the result look natural to you?
  • Did anyone else notice?
  • And most importantly: would you do it again?

You don’t need to share photos, the name of the clinic, or anything you’re not comfortable discussing.

Good experiences are useful to hear about, but so are disappointing ones. Sometimes the most helpful information is knowing what someone wishes they’d asked before treatment.

At BLS Clinic, we see male patients with a wide range of aesthetic concerns, but we’d rather hear about the experience from men who have actually been through it than try to speak for them.

If you’ve had an aesthetic treatment as a man, what was it really like—and what do you wish you’d known beforehand?

I think the biggest thing for me would be whether the result actually looks natural. I’d also want to know what recovery is really like and whether the doctor understood that I wanted a subtle improvement rather than an obvious change. Those details would make me much more comfortable considering treatment.
