A Patient’s Rhinoplasty Recovery Journey: From Before to Final Result

A female patient visited SoonPlus Plastic Surgery to discuss concerns about the shape, proportions, and overall appearance of her nose. Before rhinoplasty, her nasal structure, facial proportions, and aesthetic goals were evaluated to develop an individualized surgical plan. The approach was selected according to her nasal anatomy and the changes she wished to achieve while maintaining facial harmony.

During the first week after surgery, swelling, bruising around the nose or eyes, and nasal congestion may occur as part of the initial recovery process. By one month, much of the early swelling may have subsided, although the nose can remain swollen, particularly around the tip. The appearance at this stage should not be considered the final result, as nasal tissues continue to heal over the following months.

At the final follow up, the nasal shape and overall facial proportions are assessed after sufficient healing. Rhinoplasty results develop gradually, and complete refinement can take a year or longer, depending on the surgical technique and individual healing response. Patients should follow their surgeon’s aftercare instructions and attend recommended appointments to monitor recovery and discuss any concerns. Individual outcomes and recovery timelines vary from person to person.
