My Experience With Cataract After LASIK Surgery at JYRN Eye Clinic

I had undergone LASIK surgery years ago and was happy with my vision for a long time. As I got older, however, I began noticing cloudy vision, increased glare, and difficulty seeing clearly at night. Reading and some everyday activities also became more challenging. After an eye examination, I learned that I had developed a cataract.

I visited JRYN Eye Clinic for a detailed consultation. The doctor examined my eyes and explained that having previous LASIK surgery is important when planning cataract surgery because the calculations for the replacement lens can be different. We discussed the examination results, lens options, procedure, possible risks, and recovery expectations.

The cataract surgery involved removing the cloudy natural lens and replacing it with an artificial intraocular lens. The procedure went smoothly, and I experienced only mild discomfort afterward. My vision was initially blurry, so I used the prescribed eye drops and followed the post-operative instructions carefully.

At my follow-up appointments, the doctor monitored my healing and vision. Over the following weeks, my eyesight gradually became clearer, and I noticed better sharpness and brightness during everyday activities.

Overall, I was relieved to have my vision evaluated and treated appropriately after my previous LASIK surgery.
